For seven years in a row (2013-2019), Travel + Leisure readers voted PDX as America’s Best Airport. Why do travelers love PDX? One reader summed it up perfectly: “People are friendly, there are ample local shopping and food options, there are free local short films, prices are normal, there's local art, a local distillery, live music...I could go on and on.”

The airport’s award-winning concessions program features the best of local, regional, and national shops and restaurants, open 365 days a year. Those who work at PDX benefit from employee discounts as well.
With more than 100 organizations to choose from, PDX provides a wide variety of exciting work experiences. PDX is a quick commute for the Greater Portland region and those living in Southwest Washington. The TriMet MAX Red Line runs straight from the city center to the airport in approximately 38 minutes, while Vancouver’s C-TRAN has a PDX bus route. A secure employee parking lot, complete with electric vehicle charging stations, is just a shuttle stop away. For the cycling community, PDX has a secure bike storage area on the lower roadway with several bike racks and route maps
The Port of Portland, which operates PDX, is committed to keeping the airport safe for employees and travelers. Masks are required at PDX and we have reminders throughout the terminal to keep your distance and wash your hands. Learn more at www.flypdx.com/travelsafe.
